Can a week be filled to the brim with discoveries and fun challenges? Nature, workshops, physical and fun activities, as well as an excursion — you will experience everything that a Roeland camp has to offer squeezed into a single week. You will discover new talents in various workshops, get active during sports activities, and set out on adventures in the forest, the adventure park, or along the Lesse River and the caves of Han.
Learn French while having fun: immersive workshops and projects
Each day’s activities are focused on a different theme, designed to enrich your vocabulary and strengthen your French basics through fun activities. Language workshops remain available to consolidate your skills, but other activities allow you to use French practically and creatively through projects and exciting challenges. Although full immersion may seem intense, it is the most effective and fastest way to learn French: you use the language constantly in real and playful situations, making learning concrete and motivating.
Unforgettable excursions and discoveries
Younger participants will spend a pleasant day in nature at Han-sur-Lesse. Older participants will travel to Dinant for a sports activity, followed by a walk along the Meuse River and an opportunity to explore the city. If the Lesse River is sufficiently high, the group will kayak down the river — a refreshing and thrilling activity in the sun! Otherwise, the adventure will continue at the Ardennes Challenge adventure park. On the high ropes course or underground obstacle course, everyone can challenge themselves while having fun.
Roeland ClassicFull immersion
The Roeland Classic sticks closely to Roeland’s well-known formula for success. Participants are fully immersed in the target language and are expected to speak only the target language throughout. The team consists of people who are either native speakers and/or speak the target language very well. They will do everything in their power to help you to express yourself more fluently in the target language.
There is no shame in making mistakes, it is part of the process – we just want you to try your best! For the language workshops, you will be divided into small groups according to your level. These classic camps are perfect for anyone who wants to make huge progress while having lots of fun. By the end of camp, you will even find yourself dreaming in the target language!
Bure: a place for relaxation and conviviality in a
The camp takes place in an old castle-farm surrounded by nature, in the heart of Bure. Activities are organised in the courtyard or in the surrounding open spaces: football, basketball, big games, and two indoor sports halls. The nearby forests are perfect for taking a walk or mountain biking.
You will sleep in a room with one other person or alone. This depends on availability and your stated room preference.
