Activities
- Practice your Dutch three to four times a day during fun language workshops. Perhaps you can test your newly acquired skills on some friendly local when you visit the Gentse Feesten?
- Speaking of which: you will be immersed in the rich culture and unique atmosphere of Ghent, culminating in a visit to the Gentse Feesten, one of the largest folk festivals in the world.
- You’ll get lots of exercise thanks to the daily sports and games on offer.
- In the evenings we socialise with board games or soda and talks during bar time, but you might also be treated to a festive casino evening or a pyjama movie night. The camp concludes with an unforgettable party - the Gentse Feesten will pale in comparison! Don't forget to bring your best party clothes!
Excursions
Art and culture are always right behind the corner in the photogenic centre of Ghent. A city walk will have us wandering amongst the trendy coffee bars and ancient facades, discovering the most beautiful corners of this vibrant city. You will marvel at the beautiful surroundings as we paddle our kayaks along the old canals. Along the way we will see the impressive Castle of the Counts and we will greet the throngs of students enjoying an ice cream on the Graslei.
Depending on the weather, we will swap Ghent for a day trip in equally beautiful Bruges or we will feel the sand and seawater between our toes on the Flemish coast. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit and sunscreen!
Roeland ClassicFull immersion
You'll experience Roeland's well-known recipe for success: during the camp, you will only speak the target language, as will the camp coaches. The team consists of native speakers and/or speakers who have a very good command of the language. They will help you express yourself fluently in the target language. It's ok to make mistakes, of course, as long as you try!
During the camp, you will follow language workshops in small groups and according to your level. This classic formula is the best way to make great progress and have fun. By the end of camp, you'll even be dreaming in the target language!

Nieuwen Bosch
Nieuwen Bosch est une oasis de calme et de tranquillité au cœur de la ville historique de Gand. Les arbres du complexe abritent une salle de sport polyvalente, un terrain de volley, de mini-foot et de basket, mais aussi une aire de jeux récemment rénovée et une sublime salle de théâtre. Les jeunes sont logés en chambres individuelles.
