Looking for a versatile French language camp? You’ve found it! Every morning, join language workshops and practice your favourite sport. In the afternoon, there will be large group games to move your body and have fun, and in the evening, creative workshops in small groups to discover hidden talents. Who knows, you might find a new passion!
Learn French while having fun
The language workshops are designed to help you learn French naturally while having fun: speaking, listening, creating, and playing in a relaxed, friendly environment. Making mistakes is encouraged, and daring to speak is the best way to improve. In the morning, between workshops and sports, you’ll enjoy activities such as badminton, baseball, pillow fights, or dodgeball. Afternoon group games encourage you to communicate, collaborate, and laugh with others—all in French. In the evening, creative workshops offer a range of activities: arts and crafts, visual arts, or performing on stage. And if an activity must be replaced, the staff always has a fun and original surprise ready.
Exploring Adventures Around Bure
Bure is located in a natural oasis: pack your hiking shoes for a day spent exploring the forests. Older participants can enjoy a full day of mountain biking around Bure, with the Mur de Bure as the highlight of the day.
In Saint-Hubert, you will take part in a treasure hunt through the town and have some time to enjoy a spot of swimming.
After that, you’ll kayak down the Ourthe, visit the feudal castle of La Roche-en-Ardenne, and try your hand at archery. You may even spot birds of prey. If the river is too shallow for kayaking, we’ll head to Han-sur-Lesse for a ride on the small train that will take us through the wildlife reserve. The day will conclude in Rochefort with a visit to its typical caves.
Roeland ClassicFull immersion
The Roeland Classic sticks closely to Roeland’s well-known formula for success. Participants are fully immersed in the target language and are expected to speak only the target language throughout. The team consists of people who are either native speakers and/or speak the target language very well. They will do everything in their power to help you to express yourself more fluently in the target language.
There is no shame in making mistakes, it is part of the process – we just want you to try your best! For the language workshops, you will be divided into small groups according to your level. These classic camps are perfect for anyone who wants to make huge progress while having lots of fun. By the end of camp, you will even find yourself dreaming in the target language!
Bure: a place for relaxation and conviviality in a
The camp takes place in an old castle-farm surrounded by nature, in the heart of Bure. Activities are organised in the courtyard or in the surrounding open spaces: football, basketball, big games, and two indoor sports halls. The nearby forests are perfect for taking a walk or mountain biking.
You will sleep in a room with one other person or alone. This depends on availability and your stated room preference.
