Welcome to this enchanted world of ‘El Día de los Muertos’. Join Coco on an adventure with witches, zombies, ghosts, and more, and experience a colorful week. You’ll learn French through fun games, amusing songs, and creative workshops. Each day is a new, exciting, and educational experience.

Activities

• Awesome language workshops: you will be divided into small groups depending on your language level and learn about various themes, such as La ville, A table, Qui suis-je etc. You will have so much fun with your new friends that you will hardly realise that everything is in French.
• Chanter! Sing French songs together!
• Crea-atelier: arts and crafts, film-making, etc.
• Exciting and active big games.
• The camp also includes a fun excursion!

Discovery – partial immersion

At these camps for beginners, you are still allowed to speak in your mother tongue with other participants.  The group leaders will use the target language (e.g. French during a French camp) throughout the camp, while helping you to learn as many new words and sentences as possible. To make sure that everyone can follow along easily, each day features a ‘bilingual moment’, when the activities will be explained in both the target language and your mother tongue. During playful language workshops, you will be divided into small groups according to your level. The focus on language continues throughout the other activities as well, however. As your knowledge of the target language grows, we will increasingly challenge you to speak the target language, thus ensuring that you will learn how to express yourself more confidently by the end of the week.

Practicalities for the non-residential option

• 9am until 4.30pm
• Day care available from 8.15am and until 5.45pm
• We will provide an afternoon snack
• At Roeland's headquarters: Krijgslaan 18, 9000 Ghent

Location

Roeland vzw is situated near the Citadel Park, within walking distance from the Gent Sint-Pieters station. When the weather is good, we organise an afternoon activity in the park.
