In the Spotlight!
Have you always dreamed of being in the spotlight? Then this is your chance! Instead of language workshops, you will be attending diverse drama workshops (dance, theatre and even musical). Even if you have never been on stage before, together we will decide what suits you best. Could you be the next Timothée Chalamet or Taylor Swift? We can’t wait to find out! You'll stay in a top-notch British private school with an incredible theatre and go on trips to London and Brighton. Basic English required.
Activities
- Artistic workshops based on your talents led by inspiring drama teachers and theatre producers
- Work on your self-confidence and communication skills and develop your acting talents in a positive, supportive environment
- Experience with theatre, dance or music is not essential – you just need to be prepared to throw yourself into it
- As well as drama workshops, you can choose from several creative workshops in the evenings
- At the end of the camp, you will show off your creation to the Summer Vibes and the Intercultural group.
Excursions
You will explore London in small groups, and everyone will get to have their say about the programme: a walk to see the tourist attractions, a boat trip, a visit to the British Museum, a café terrace or some shopping. The best way to get to know the city!
You will also visit Brighton, a lovely coastal city with its famous Brighton Pier, a typical pebble beach, plenty of history and lots of cool shops.
Experiences Camp – full immersion
You learn a language by experiencing it and that is the approach used at our experiences camps. Here, the focus is less on language workshops and more on learning the language by speaking it at all times. Under the guidance of our camp coaches, you will debate, explore a city, learn a new (adventurous) sport or let your creativity run wild, all in the target language. Participants should have a good grasp of the basics of the language. We expect you to be able to understand simple conversations and instructions without much effort and to talk about simple topics (talk about yourself, express your feelings, ask simple questions). Although there are fewer or no language workshops at these camps, our camp coaches will of course continue to help you become increasingly fluent in the target language.
Unsure whether this is the right camp for you? Contact us at info@roeland.be or call us on +32 (0)9 221 60 44.
