Are you older than 12, but it is too soon for you to be completely immersed in French? Then this camp is ideal for you, with its fantastic language workshops, activities, sport, outings and more. You can talk in your mother tongue with other campers from time to time, but we encourage you to speak French as much as possible.
This camp is for youngsters who have not yet had French lessons at school, who have a lot of difficulty with the language or who would find going to a camp which is all done in French too much.
At this camp, participants don't need to speak French all the time. You can speak Dutch in your room, for example. The coaches only speak French, however, to ensure that you learn a lot during your time away.
Excursion:
During this camp we will discover the charming little town of Stenay, we will visit the interactive ‘Musée de la bière’ where we will do an escape room, and we will challenge ourselves on a treetop adventure course.
Discovery – partial immersion
At these camps for beginners, you are still allowed to speak in your mother tongue with other participants. The group leaders will use the target language (e.g. French during a French camp) throughout the camp, while helping you to learn as many new words and sentences as possible. To make sure that everyone can follow along easily, each day features a ‘bilingual moment’, when the activities will be explained in both the target language and your mother tongue. During playful language workshops, you will be divided into small groups according to your level. The focus on language continues throughout the other activities as well, however. As your knowledge of the target language grows, we will increasingly challenge you to speak the target language, thus ensuring that you will learn how to express yourself more confidently by the end of the week.

Lieu
Virton is a charming little town in the Gaume region. You will stay at a beautiful camp site with lots of open space in the middle of green surroundings. There is a large square with two gyms and sports fields and courts where you can play football, hockey, basketball, volleyball, baseball and more.
You will stay in single or double rooms.
